Study Finds Patients With SCD More Likely To Show Certain Facial Characteristics
Academy of General Dentistry (3/17) reports on a study that “compared orofacial radiographs of patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) with those of a group of healthy controls.” Generally, those with SCD were more likely to show “generalized osteopenia, enlarged medullary spaces, thinning of the inferior mandibular border, and radiopaque lesions.” Read more…
