How do the doctors keep up-to-date on all the current techniques and materials?
Dr. Florio and Dr. Kohner have continued their education through the prestigious Pankey Institute and the renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry. They own one of the largest collections of audio and visual continuing education libraries, with numerous books and journals to keep abreast with the latest trends. Dr. Florio and Dr. Kohner regularly attend seminars to learn about the advancing technologies, they are proud to pass these on to their patients.
Will I be charged if I need to cancel an appointment?
We do charge a small fee for appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice. If you can’t make an appointment, let us know so we can offer it to another patient for treatment.
What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
Leave a message on our answering machine, Dr. Florio and Dr. Kohner check on a regular basis. For immediate emergencies, there is a number at the end of the message for a doctor who is on call.
I have a temporary crown in my mouth. What happens if it comes off or breaks?
Call our office immediately at 516-599-6397. We will either re-cement or remake your temporary crown.
How can I safely whiten my teeth?
We are in full compliance with OSHA and take the safety of our patients very seriously.

I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?
We offer a variety of solutions for those who prefer not to wear braces with the latest technological advances in Veneers and Lumineers. We also offer clear braces as an option over traditional metal braces.
